Hello, I’m Oumaima

A passionate young activist from Morocco, dedicated to empowering communities, advocating for women’s rights, and driving social change.

About Me

I’m Oumaima Nouali, a Moroccan researcher, activist, and storyteller driven by a commitment to gender equality, cultural preservation, and social change.

With a background in Culture and Gender Studies, my work lies at the intersection of communication, development, and community empowerment. Whether I’m managing digital campaigns, facilitating training programs, or documenting local stories, I strive to create meaningful platforms where unheard voices are seen, heard, and valued.

I am the founder of We.Tamkeen, a women-led initiative that builds supportive spaces for women to connect, grow, and pursue financial independence through workshops, mental health gatherings, and digital content. I’m also the mind behind Timgharin, a project that uplifts rural Moroccan craftswomen by showcasing their handmade creations and preserving traditional artistry.

My journey has taken me from rural Morocco to international forums across Europe, through exchange programs, fellowships, and cultural projects like Kulturweit, where I documented cross-cultural experiences in my short film Bridges Beyond Borders.

Whether I’m creating digital strategies, facilitating workshops, or curating stories, I believe in working with purpose, empathy, and creativity. If you’re passionate about culture, gender justice, or meaningful communication, I’d love to connect.
